What can you make with an empty soup can and two 8″ round cakes?
This is an easy and fun cake to make just using an empty soup can with holes punched in the bottom and 2-8" round cakes. I used both yellow and chocolate cakes with buttercream icing for this demonstration. When the cake is sliced like a pie, the serving will look like a checkerboard. The slice of cake will have a nice presentation when served on a desert plate. It can be decorated with fun patterns or traditional floral designs. This cake is suitable for any occasion. The checkerboard cake gives the appearance like you spent hours making it, but you won't. Recently, I made this cake for a fund raiser bake sale. They could not believe it was homemade. Toni
