There are 8 plates in this collection, limited to 10 firing days, plates are boxed with hand number Certificate of Authenticity, approx 8-1/2 inch in diameter, and a 24K gold rim adds an extra touch of quality to these plates. Plates have never been displayed, and are from my personal collection.

"Gunther Gebel-Williams" first issue has been described as a superhero, a superhuman, and has won the title of "greatest animal trainer of all time. He is master of a cage filled with 19 Bengal tigers, which he commands by his voice alone. But the animals are not in fear of their master: rather he rules them by virtue of his communication with them.

"JUMBO" The World's Most Famous Circus Elephant is the second issue in this series. One of the greatest examples of P.T Barnum's as a circus promoter was his acquisition and promotion of "Jumbo". As the largest captive elephant in the world 12 feet tall at the shoulders and seven tons in weight, he was quite a sight for circus goers. He led Barnum's parades and entertained children with rides on his howdah, sort of elephant saddle.

" Felix Adler" third issue in the series, his claim to fame centers on two aspects of his brilliant career, first he trained more than 500 different piglets to help in his act, he appeared before three presidents Coolidge, Harding, and F.D. Roosevelt. He ran away at the age of 12 to join Ringling Brothers Circus, his father agreeing as long as he attended to his schooling. As a water boy he had the perfect opportunity to observe the clowns and learn from their artistry. When he gradated from High School he asked Charles Ringling for a permanent job and caught on as fledgling clown. Adler drew laughs from the same gags for over 50 years.                    

"Dolly Jacobs" fourth issue in the series, the elegant and beautiful Dolly already has achieved the status of a circus star in her early 20's, her high-flying artistry is inspired by the by the great tradition of the circus aerialist. All eyes are upon her as she climbs to a height of 32 feet to begin her act. The spangled and colorful costumes she wears are enough to win her the admiration of the crowd.

" Lou Jacobs" fifth issue in the series, the clown who has made circus going a treat for American audiences for well over a half a century now is immortalized in this handsome new plate.

"May Wirth" sixth issue in the series, she was just 16 years old when she made her debut in Madison Square Garden as a featured performer for Ringling Brothers Circus, and by the time they merged with Barnum & Bailey in 1919 she had won her well deserved title as " The Greatest Bareback Rider of All Time" Not only did she ride her horses, but she performed acrobatics and other stunts while the horses galloped around the ring.

"Michu" seventh issue in the series. An amusing and charming circus character is "Michu" the tiny man who stands just 33 inches tall, but brings a large helping of fun to circus crowds, performances after performance. `

"Con Colleano" final issue in the series. Today's tightrope walkers look to the classic performances of Con Colleano for their inspiration and their heritage. Imagine a tightrope walker so daring that he could perform a somersault on the high wire. He was one of the most talented Ringling circus stars "The King of the Tightrope"
