" Noel Vitrail" Darceau Limoges Christmas plate collection by artist Andre Restieau an issue of 8 plates that measure 8-1/2 inch in diameter is based on the Stain Glass Windows of Chartres Cathedral in France, and dedicated to" The Glory of God, The Dignity of Man and The Celebration of Life through Art". Each plate is numbered with certificate of authenticity. Issued 1975-1982. I have 2 set for sale.

"La Fuite En Egypte" first plate in the series, and when they the wise men were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

"Dans La Creche" second plate in the series. The Nativity strives to portray the joy Mary and Joseph felt at he birth of Jesus. In the upper portion of the painting, the curtain is raised to mark the opening act in the greatest drama known. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger.

"Refus D Hebergement" the third plate in the series. No Room at the Inn depicts the poignant irony of the moment, on the very eve of history's most joyous event. Joseph must plead to no avail, Mary despairs of finding a safe place for the birth of the child, and even the ass hangs his head, for there was no room for them in the Inn.

"La Purification" fourth plate in the series. The Purification tries to suggest the awe Simeon, personifying the waiting world, felt as Mary presented him with the fulfillment of the promise of a Savior. Joseph's candle symbolized Christ as the light in Simeon's famous prayer. When Simeon took him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word, for mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people.

"L'adoration Des Rois" the fifth plate in the series. The Adoration captures the joy "Joyeuse Nouvelle" sixth plate in the series and wonderment of the three kings in the presence of Mary and her Son. The king Melchoir offers a small chest of gold, symbol of the royalty of the child, containing frankincense, which symbolizes his divinity. The king Casper holds a vial of myrrh, symbol of the death and portent of the passion.

"Joyeuse Nouvelle" sixth plate in the series. Tidings of Great Joy express the surprise and alarm the Shepard's felt at the appearance of the angelic host. Even more it shows the exultancy of the angels as they praised God and proclaimed the good news of the Savior's birth. And the angel said unto them, fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you are born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord?

"Guides Par L'etoile" seventh plate in the series. Guided By The Star this plate instills the glorious faith of the three wise kings, Melchior, Casper, and Balthazer. Guided only by the star, they came even unto Bethlehem asking  "Where is He that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east and are come to worship Him.

" L' Annonciation" eighth plate in the series. At the time of " The Annunciation", the archangel Gabriel carries the divine message to the Virgin Mary, fear not for thou hast found favor with god. And thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and call his name Jesus, and he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
