For the best results, use a calling portal number that is a local call for where you are, so that you don't pay any long distance to get to the portal.

If you don't see any calling portal numbers that are local calls from your location, you can either use the 800 # calling portal (which has a 5 cent per minute charge, see below for details), or some people use their mobile phones, if they have free nation-wide long distance on their mobile plan, allowing them to call any of the portal numbers in their nation for free.
