Insurance Adjusting Firm Seeks Capital For Growth

I own and independent insurance adjusting firm in Rapid City, South Dakota.
I an looking for an investor(s) who wish to provide capital for the
purchase of the equipment and computer software I need to grow my
business.
I have secured contract to perform insurance adjustments for large
insurance companies in the states of North and South Dakota. These
areas have have been under-served by competing adjusting firms in this
part of the country, and I have found that there is an excellent chance
for growth in what has traditionally been considered flyover country.
The value of these contracts exceeds $300,000 per year.
That's a conservative number, and not some figure I pulled out of thin air.
What I require is $70,000 to purchase equipment necessary to effectively cover these areas as a field claim adjuster.
I have a full list of all of the items I require, their cost, location and other pertinent data you may require.
These items will permit me (and my one independent contractor who
performs work for me) to handle insurance claims in an efficient manner
throughout the Dakotas.
Most small insurance adjusting firms are hamstrung by their lack of
affordable equipment. What's more, most firms are limited in the
geographic areas they cover (primarily because of equipment
limitations). With this equipment and software, my contractor and I
will be able to travel to loss sites for extended periods at low cost
to perform adustments in areas that have been struck by natural
disasters (e.g. hail, wind).
Why $70,000? I've located and priced every single item I need to grow
my business. This figure includes necessary errors and omissions
insurance, fuel for 30 days (until receivables come in), business
cards, a prepaid 12 month lease on a larger office space. If I'm
serious enough to seek out investors, I better have done my homework. I
have a business plan, including realistic revenue projections, that
support my position that $70,000 is not too little, or too much, but
just the right amount of money to make this growth happen.
I will gladly secure the note with a debt instrument of your
choosing, as well as with the titles and/or security agreements for all
financed items. You would show as a loss payee on my business insurance
and my business auto insurance in the event of a loss.
I am able to offer 20% interest over 12 months on this investment. I
have no illusions about the interest I am willing to pay. I understand
that greater risk should yield a greater return. Besides, are your
equity holdings positioned to deliver even half of that return over the
next 12 months?
I am able to offer you monthly, quarterly or a year-end repayment of
this note - as you wish. A 12 month liquidity event is the promise I
make, and one I am able to deliver on.
I am not interested in a $70,000 check. I would deliver a
settlement statement outlining the cost of each item and its respective
payee. This is the best way to show an investor I'm serious about my
equipment needs.
I have over 10 years' experience as a claim adjuster, and five
years' experience as a business owner. The skills and the knowledge are
in place. Now it's time to fund something really special. I picked Rapid City because I live and work here. It's home. Plus, I know that plenty of folks here
