A WORLD OF UNDERSTANDING THROUGH CROSS-CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
ASSE International Student Exchange Programs (ASSE) is looking for volunteers to serve as Area Representatives in their local community. ASSE provides academic year, semester and short-term exchange programs in the United States for high school-aged students from around the world.
If you enjoy working with students, have an interest in culture, travel and appreciate flexibility, this part-time position may be just for you. It is a wonderful opportunity for homemakers, retirees, and those individuals and families wanting to enrich their lives and the lives of an exchange student.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Recruit and screen prospective host families
• Conducts ASSE pre-arrival host family orientation meeting
• Conducts ASSE post-arrival student orientation meeting
• Problem solve for exchange students and host families if necessary
• Organize 3 group activities for exchange students
• Report to ASSE Area Coordinator
Qualifications:
• Experience working with children and teens
• Experience organizing people or events
• Must pass a criminal background check
• ASSE requires area representatives be at least 26 years of age
• College degree preferred but not required
