Two AKC-registered 5-month-old female pups available from this litter.  Over 20 years of experience with Great Pyrenees have proven to us that they are wonderful guard dogs for home or livestock, yet at the same time gentle, loving animals, with adults, or with children of any age.

     We have a flock of sheep, and these pups have been raised in close proximity with the sheep.  Several of their litter mates are already learning their guard duties with new owners in New York and Ohio, and one is in training as a therapy dog.   Before we learned about the Pyrenees, we typically  lost a dozen or more of our flock per year to marauding stray dogs.  Since we started with the Pyrenees, we've lost only two in nearly 20 years.

     The Pyrenees is not a violent dog by nature, but sweet and loving.  However, at the appearance of a threat to their livestock or territory, they'll bark loud warnings.  Coming from a 100- to 150-pound dog, that's usually enough to end the situation by itself.  Should the intruder proceed to attack the livestock, the Pyrenees will then and only then counterattack, to full effect.

     These pups have had all shots and wormings to date, and come with AKC papers.  We live in Southern Ohio, and are willing to travel halfway to deliver, for reasonable distances.  If you think you might need one of these beautiful fluffy ladies (pictures attached), please call or e-mail us for further information and encouragement.
